2008 (Senior)

Kim Shubert ended her Husker career on a high note, winning the high jump at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, making a return trip to the NCAA Outdoor Championships and being named a CoSIDA First-Team Academic All-American... entered the Big 12 outdoor meet ranked first in the conference (5-10 ?; 1.79)... won the meet by defeating teammate and 2008 indoor champion, Epley Bullock, with a season-best jump of 5-10 ? (1.80)... received an at-large big to the NCAA Outdoor Championships for the second straight year... tied for 17th (5-8 ?; 1.74) in Des Moines while competing with a injured foot... posted a win in the high jump at the Kansas Relays (5-8 3/4; 1.75) and finished third at the Drake Relays (5-10 1/2 ; 1.79)... competed in the last heptathlon of collegiate career at the Jim Click Shootout to open the outdoor season... finished third with 5,010 points... scored at the Big 12 Indoor Championships in the pentathlon for the third straight year... tied for fourth in the indoor high jump to help the women’s team to a second-place finish...  posted victories in the high jump at the Prairie Wolf Invite (5-8 ?; 1.75) and Nebraska Last Chance (5-7 ?; 1.72)... ended Husker career ranked in the top 25 in the indoor high jump (21st), indoor pentathlon (15th), outdoor 100-meter shuttle hurdle relay (6th), outdoor high jump (11th) and outdoor heptathlon (13th)... earned Second-Team CoSIDA Academic All-America honors in 2007, USTFCCAA All-Academic team honors (2007 and 2008), named to the First-Team Academic All-Big 12 from 2005 to 2008 and was a Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll selection every semester from the spring of 2004 to the spring of 2008.

2007 (Junior)
Shubert qualified for her first NCAA Championships in the high jump after receiving an at-large bid to the meet... showed tremendous progress not only in the high jump, but also in the combined events during her fourth year at NU... registered a personal-best height of 5-11 1/4 during the NCAA Midwest Regional to place sixth overall after entering the meet with a best of 5-10 3/4... twice earlier set lifetime-best marks to place as the runner-up at both the Nebraska Invite (5-10 3/4) and Drake Relays (5-10 1/2)... earned a provisional qualification to the national meet in the heptathlon, but was not selected for the competition... finished fourth during the Big 12 Championships with a personal-best score of 5,162... tied for ninth place during the open high jump competition at 5-7... also competed in a cold and windy heptathlon during the Audrey Walton Combined Events and placed second... claimed her first career regional mark (5-8 3/4) during her outdoor season-opening high jump competition at the Texas Relays (B section) to place fifth... began the year with a breakout indoor season featuring a silver-medal finish during the Big 12 indoor pentathlon (3,859)... reached the NCAA's provisional qualification standard, but did not advance on to the national meet... cleared an indoor career-best 5-9 3/4 during the Big 12 pentathlon high jump. 

2006 (Sophomore) 
Shubert earned her first all-conference honors and made significant gains in the combined events areas as a sophomore... concluded her season with an eighth-place finish in the heptathlon (4,642) at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships and set a personal best in the high jump (5-7 3/4), while placing sixth in the high jump competition (5-7)... compiled a career-best score of 4,723 to finish seventh in the Jim Click Heptathlon... scored 4,666 points at the Audrey Walton Heptathlon after posting bests of 17-1 1/2 in the long jump and 34-4 1/4 in the shot put... recorded a lifetime-best 3,611 points for a seventh-place finish in the Big 12 indoor pentathlon due to personal-best marks of 2:22.02 in the 800 meters and 5-7 3/4 in the high jump... set indoor event bests of 9.18 in the 60-meter hurdles, 16-5 in the long jump and 33-11 1/4 in the shot put on the way to a fourth-place total of 3,560 points at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.

 

2005 (Redshirt Freshman)
Shubert competed in the Big 12 multi-event competitions as a freshman, finishing 11th indoors in the pentathlon and 13th outdoors in the heptathlon... set then-personal-best scores of 3,284 in the Big 12 indoor pentathlon and 4,191 points in the heptathlon outdoors at the Audrey Walton Heptathlon... opened her outdoor season with a sixth-place showing in Group B of the heptathlon at the Cal Multi-Events... also competed in the high jump at the outdoor conference meet, tying for 12th place after clearing 5-5... finished third in the high jump outdoors at both the Doane Relays and Emporia State Relays.

 

2004 (Freshman) 
Shubert redshirted the entire year because of an injury.

 

High School (Lincoln Southeast)
Shubert was instrumental in leading Lincoln Southeast High School to four Nebraska Class A high school team championships... coached by Carol Moravec... although limited by injuries, still managed to place second in the 2003 Class A 300-meter hurdles, 4x400-meter relay and 4x100-meter relay, as well as third in the 100-meter hurdles... earned 2002 Class A and All-Class gold medals in the 300-meter hurdles (44.32, 44.05 in prelims) and the 4x100-meter relay... added a third-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (career-best 14.84 in prelims) and a fourth place in the 4x400-meter relay in 2002... won an All-Class gold medal in the 4x100-meter relay, Class A golds in both the 100- and 300-meter hurdles, and placed fourth in the 4x400-meter relay as a sophomore in 2001... received the All-Class gold medal for her 4x100-meter relay leg at the 2000 state meet, in addition to capturing the silver medal in both hurdles... overall, earned 15 finishes of fourth-place or better in her 15 entries at the state level over four years... set a personal best in the young women’s 400-meter hurdles (1:03.57) when she placed sixth at the 2002 USATF National Junior Olympics... was a member of the National Honor Society.
