Soccer Ties at Maryland Thursday

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – Nebraska soccer finished with four shots in a 0-0 draw with the Maryland Terrapins at Ludwig Field on Thursday night.

Nebraska (3-3-7, 1-2-4 Big Ten) tied for the seventh time this year, finishing with just four shots in 90 minutes as Maryland (3-8-2, 0-6-1 Big Ten) controlled possession and kept the Huskers scoreless for its first result in conference play.

Avery Gillahan finished with her third consecutive clean sheet at goalie, playing all 90 minutes with two saves. The Huskers posted their sixth shutout of the season, holding the Terrapins to seven shots.

Offensively, Reese Snowden tallied two shots on goal to pace the Big Red, while Emma Reda and Kate Eggett added shots.

Peyton Bernard led Maryland with two shots. Faith Luckey started at goalkeeper for the Terrapins and finished with two saves.

Nebraska continues its road swing on Sunday, Oct. 11, as the Huskers take on Rutgers at 1 p.m. (ET) in Piscataway, N.J. Action can be seen on Big Ten Plus.
