The Nebraska swimming and diving team will welcome the Iowa State Cyclones on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Devaney Natatorium in Lincoln, Neb., with events beginning at 4 p.m. (CT).
Capturing 15 titles in the last meeting with the Cyclones, the Big Red boasted a 193-103 victory in Ames, Iowa.
In the season-opening intrasquad meet at Devaney Natatorium on Saturday, Sept. 26, Nebraska’s Scarlet squad bested the Cream, 746-663.
Hailing from Budapest, Hungary, senior Beatrix Tanko led team Scarlet with 88 points, snagging titles in the 100 free, 100 fly, 100 IM and the 200 free relay. Aurora Zanin, a junior from Vittorio Veneto, Italy, grabbed 76 points to assist in the win for team Scarlet.
Homegrown freshman from Valley, Neb., Meredith Peyton led the intersquad in total points with 89. Peyton won the 200 medley relay and four top-3 performances in the 100 back (2nd), 100 free (2nd), 100 IM (2nd) and 100 fly (3rd). Marissa Laurin assisted on the victorious 200 medley relay team and secured 79 points.
2026 honorable-mention All-American, Abby Baxter will return for her senior year after a successful junior season campaign. Baxter competed in her second NCAA Championships in March on the one- and three-meter boards. She collected an 11th-place finish and accumulated a B final score of 312.15 in Atlanta, Ga.
Addy Farman notched a 30th-place position on the platform dive (196.45) and a 55th-place finish on the three-meter board in her freshman year. Senior Jordyn Schmucker and freshman Eve Shrader complete the diving team for the Cornhuskers.
