Roderiques Awarded CGA Rookie of the Week

The College Gymnastics Association announced that Ty Roderiques was selected as Rookie of the Week following his performance at Nebraska’s quad meet Saturday. On Tuesday, Roderiques also earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors. Kyler Hinson of Greenville was named CGA Gymnast of the Week, and Charlie Larson of Michigan was named CGA Specialist of the Week.

Roderiques has competed in every meet for the Huskers this season. He won the vault title at the quad with a career-high score of 14.20, marking his first career event title. He also stuck the landing on his vault for the first time this season. The freshman has been a consistent competitor for Nebraska on vault and rings.

Before arriving at Nebraska, Roderiques trained at GymTek in Nashville, Tennessee, which is also the home gym of fellow Huskers Alex Nitache and Nik Tarca. He also competed at the 2025 London Open before joining the program, and won the all-around title.
