Huskers Announce Spring 2026 Schedule

The Nebraska women’s tennis team has its spring 2026 schedule set, including 13 home duals, head coach German Dalmagro announced. 

The Big Red will begin the spring season by hosting a triangular with James Madison and Omaha. The Huskers will face off against James Madison on Friday, Jan. 16 and also play in a doubleheader against Omaha on Sunday, Jan. 18. Nebraska will stay at home the following weekend to host Kansas State on Friday, Jan. 23. NU will visit 10 opponents on the road, with six of those being against Big Ten opponents.

Home events will be held at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center. Home matches have free admission and parking, and depending on weather can be held either indoors or outdoors.

The Huskers finished the 2024-25 spring season with a 12-12 record. Maria Taranova led the team in singles wins, going 22-7 overall and 15-1 in the spring. NU looks to build off last season, returning six players from the 2024-25 roster. 

Nebraska wrapped up its fall season with 26 singles wins and 18 doubles wins. Taranova led the Big Red in the fall with five singles wins, followed close behind by Catherine Gagnon, Conley Raidt and Emma Rizzetto, with four wins each.

The 2025-26 team consists of five juniors in Taranova, Rizzetto, Reya Lee Coe, Yuzu Miyoshi and Tiziana Rossini, and three sophomores in Raidt, Gagnon and Natalia Trigosso. True freshman Katie Spencer will also be joining the team in the spring.
