The College Gymnastics Association has announced the athletes who will be competing in this year's CGA All-Star meet. The five Husker gymnasts who were selected are Caden Clinton, Sam Rakita, Ty Roderiques, Max Odden and Alex Nitache. The competition will take place on Dec. 16 at 5 p.m. ET on YouTube. Competition is divided into East vs. West, with each team selecting four All-Stars per event. The Huskers will represent Team West.
Caden Clinton was selected to compete on Pommel Horse alongside Ignacio Yockers (Oklahoma), Kaien Orion (Cal), and Samual Brown (Air Force), but he has withdrawn from the meet for personal reasons. Clinton’s career high on Pommel Horse is 13.65, and before he started his collegiate career at Nebraska, he was a national champion on the event.
Sam Rakita will be competing on the Rings alongside Asher Hong and Nicolas Kuebler (Stanford) and Brian Rollison (Simpson). Rakita is a freshman at Nebraska and earned first place on the Rings at the Canadian National Championships.
Ty Roderiques was selected for Vault and will be alongside Asher Hong (Stanford), Braxton Jones (Simpson) and Fuzzy Benas (Oklahoma). He is also a freshman, and before arriving to Nebraska, he won first place on the vault at the 2025 London Open.
Max Odden and Alex Nitache will both be competing for the West on High Bar, and joining them are Tucker Yasunaga (Cal) and Kelton Christiansen (Oklahoma). Odden, a junior and one of Nebraska’s 2026–27 team captains, has earned three High Bar titles as a Husker and holds a career high of 14.10. Nitache, also a junior, owns a career high of 13.45 and placed fourth on High Bar at the DTB Pokal Mixed Cup while representing the United States.
The All-Star Meet features a head-to-head format with four athletes per team on each event. Judges will use a 10.0 scoring system, which differs from NCAA scoring. Athletes will submit videos of their routines, which CGA will compile and livestream. Judges will score each routine as the videos play. The event offers fans an early look at what to expect this season.
