Written byJeff Griesch

Kaleigh Babineaux fired a final-round 71 (-1) to tie for 25th individually at 218 (+2) to lead the Nebraska women's golf team in The Clash at Boulder Creek in Boulder City, Nev., on Tuesday.

Babineaux, a freshman from Austin, Texas, used four birdies on the back nine to put together Nebraska's best individual round of the day, after opening Monday with NU's top round of the tournament with a 70 (-2) on the 6,429-yard layout of the Desert Hawk Coyote Run course at Boulder Creek Golf Club. Babineaux sandwiched her two subpar scores around a second-round 77 (+5) to finish at 218.

Junior Hannah Kono contributed a final-round 73 (+1) to go along with an opening-round 74 (+2) and a second-round 72 (E) to finish in a tie for 30th at 219 (+3) one stroke back of Babineaux.

Brooke and Mackenzie Bream rounded out Nebraska's top four finishers at the event. The sisters from Phoenix, Ariz., put up matching rounds of 76 (+4) on Tuesday, as Brooke tied for 49th at 222 (+6), while Mackenzie tied for 58th at 224 (+8) in her first career lineup appearance as a Husker.

Sophomore Jessica Jolly completed Nebraska's five-count-four lineup with a 76 of her own on Tuesday, including an eagle on the par-5, 480-yard ninth hole. Jolly opened with an even-par 72, before settling for a 79 in Monday's second round. She closed in a tie for 73rd at 227 (+11).

Symran Shah rounded out the Husker contingent at the tournament by tying for 65th at 226 (+10), while playing as an individual outside the Nebraska lineup.

As a team, Nebraska managed a 12th-place finish in an 18-team field, wrapping up the tournament at 881 (+17). The hosts from Northern Arizona won the tournament with a three-round total of 840 (-24), four shots in front of second-place New Mexico State at 844 (-20).

The Huskers take three months off from competition before returning to action during the spring season at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Fla., Jan. 25-27, 2026.
