Huskers Welcome Redbirds on Sunday

Lincoln, Neb. - After a hard-fought loss to Harvard, the Nebraska women’s tennis team looks to bounce back as it hosts Illinois State on Sunday, Feb. 4 at the Dillon Tennis Center. Action will begin at 11 a.m. (CT), and the live stream and stats will be available on huskers.com. Match updates will be posted on X/Twitter at HuskerWTennis. 

Scouting Illinois State

  • The Redbirds are led by senior Tijana Zlatonvic who has a 4-3 record at the No.1 singles spot and a 17-16 overall in singles play. 
  • ISU’s Head Coach Maja Kovacek is in her 10th year as head coach and has led the Redbirds to three regular season titles and two NCAA Tournament appearances. 
  • Illinois State has a 26-2 record in league play for the last six seasons including a 8-0 record in the Missouri Valley Conference during the 2022-23 season.
