James Palmer Jr. is having a strong rookie season for the Agua Caliente Clippers in the NBA G League, as he is currently averaging 22.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. In his last outing, Palmer, who is currently sixth in the G League in scoring, had 17 points in a loss to Santa Cruz.
Terran Petteway is back in Italy, playing for Pistoria in the Italian Serie A. He led Pistoria to a win over Vanoli in his last game, totaling 20 points, eight rebounds and three assists. In the year, he is averaging 15.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
In Spain, Shavon Shields is playing for Baskonia and put together one of his best efforts of the season with a 22-point, seven-rebound effort against Valencia. Shields, who is in his second season in Spain, is averaging 8.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game this season.
A pair of former Huskers are currently playing in the National Basketball League in Australia. Sek Henry, who enjoyed a long career in Europe, is in his first season with the New Zealand Breakers, and had 20 points and three assists in this most recent performance. On the season, he is averaging 13.2ppg, 2.1rpg, 3.2apg and 1.1spg. He is joined in the league by Jack McVeigh, who plays for the Adelaide 36ers and is averaging 5.9 points and 1.7 rebounds per game while coming off the bench in 15 games.
Isaac Copeland Jr. made his professional debut on Tuesday, as the Texas Legends of the NBA G League lost to Sioux Falls. Copeland, who tore his ACL last January and underwent surgery in early February, played four minutes in his debut and grabbed a rebound in the Legends' overtime loss. Fellow Husker Isaiah Roby splits time between the Legends and the Dallas Mavericks. In five G League games, Roby is averaging 11.8 points and 8.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game while shooting 46 percent from 3-point range.
