Huskers Finish Third in Fort Worth

Fort Worth, Texas - The No. 5 Nebraska rifle team claimed third place (4,662) in its match today in Fort Worth, Texas, against TCU (4,718) and Memphis (4,669).
 
The Huskers posted a team score of 2,307 in smallbore, led by sophomore Elena Flake's mark of 581. Flake claimed sixth place overall in smallbore. Junior Emily Cheramie followed with 580 for NU, with Hana Musser adding 574. Seniors Kayla Gadeken and Samantha Peterson fired 574 and 570, respectively, to round out the Huskers.
 
Nebraska produced a team score of 2,355 in air rifle. Macey Way and Flake were out front with 591 each. Peterson followed closely with 588. Cheramie and Musser added 585 and 580, respectively, to complete the Huskers' squadded effort.
 
TCU fired a team score of 2,338 in smallbore, led by Kristen Hemphill's 588. Tucker led the Frogs to a 2,380 air rifle score with a mark of 596. Memphis fired a team score of 2,319 in smallbore, led by Levi Clark's 587. David Crenshaw helped lead the Tigers to a 2,350 air rifle score with a mark of 590.
