Game Notes
Kiki Stokes homered for the third time this season after homering four times in 2014 and six times in her first two seasons combined...Stokes has three home runs and 12 RBIs in eight games this season...Sophomore Lotte Sjulin caught the top of the fifth inning, marking the first defensive action of her career.

Tallahassee, Fla. - The 19th-ranked Nebraska softball team had no answer for Georgia Tech for the second straight day, as the Yellow Jackets run-ruled the Huskers, 10-2, in five innings Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla.

Nebraska has now lost three consecutive games, as the Huskers dropped to 4-4 on the season. Georgia Tech improved to 2-6 with its second straight victory.

Junior right-hander Emily Lockman (1-3) took the loss, allowing eight runs on 10 hits in 2.1 innings. Sophomore Cassie McClure pitched the final 2.2 innings, surrendering two runs on four hits. Kyle Kleinschmidt (1-4) earned the win for Georgia Tech. In her second complete game of the year, Kleinschmidt allowed two runs on four hits.

In the bottom of the first, junior Kiki Stokes drew a leadoff walk and classmate Alicia Armstrong and sophomore MJ Knighten followed with back-to-back singles to load the bases. But the Huskers could not take advantage of the opportunity, as a pair of strikeouts and a ground out ended the threat.

After Nebraska missed a golden opportunity to score in the first, Georgia Tech mounted a two-out rally in the top of the second. The Yellow Jackets had a runner at first with two outs before stringing together four consecutive hits to take a 3-0 lead.

The Huskers then left the bases loaded again in the bottom of the second inning after Knighten hit a scorching line drive right at the third baseman to end the threat.

The Yellow Jackets then used a two-run homer with one out in the top of the third inning to take a 5-0 lead. Georgia Tech was not finished, using a two-run triple and a two-out, RBI single to stretch the lead to 8-0.

Georgia Tech scored multiple runs for the third straight inning in the top of the fourth, using a two-run homer to take a 10-0 lead.

Nebraska cracked the scoreboard in the bottom of the fourth, answering Georgia Tech's two runs with two of its own. Sophomore Kat Woolman drew a one-out walk before Stokes blasted her third home run of the season to trim the lead to 10-2.

The Huskers, who had a base runner every inning, had a change to extend the game when freshman Kaylan Jablonski drew a one-out walk in the bottom of the fifth. Jablonski advanced to second with two outs, but was stranded there as Nebraska left eight on base in five innings.

Nebraska plays again Saturday against Western Kentucky.
