El Paso, Texas- While most of the Nebraska track and field team was competing at the K.T. Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan., a select number of Husker jumpers were participating in the UTEP Invitational in El Paso, Texas.
Patrick Raedler finished fourth in the men's long jump, recording a mark of 24-9 3/4 (7.56). Chris Phipps finished with a jump of 24-1 1/2 (7.35), and Bobby Carter recorded a leap of 23-6 (7.16).
Anna Weigandt came in fourth in the women's triple jump, finishing with a leap of 40-2 3/4 (12.26). Kara Mostoller recorded a jump of 18-2 1/4 (5.54) in the women's long jump.
Carlos Hernandez notched a fifth-place finish in the men's high jump, with a leap of 6-8 3/4 (2.05), tying his season-best jump.
The Huskers will turn their attention to the Kansas Relays this week in Lawrence, Kan. and the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif.
