The No. 14 Nebraska wrestling team won the first six matches over the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday, in route to a 31-6 victory in Chapel Hill, N.C. The Huskers, who were wrestling in their final road dual of the season, improved to 13-5 on the year with a 1-2 mark in Big 12 conference duals. The loss dropped North Carolina's record to 8-9-1.

Nebraska opened the dual with a shutout from No. 11 Josh Ihnen (NU) at 184-pounds over Antonio Giorgio (UNC), 6-0. Ihnen's victory was followed by Andy Johnson (NU) defeating Zac Bennett (UNC) by decision, 10-4, at 197. Both Ihnen and Johnson were coming off losses to nationally-ranked opponents against Oklahoma State.

At heavyweight, No. 12 Tucker Lane (NU) defeated Ben Brooks (UNC) after Brooks had to withdrawal from match win an injury in the second period. Leading by 12 points, the Huskers extended the margin to 21-0 with three decision victories from David Klingsheim (NU), Ridge Kiley (NU) and Mike Koehnlein (NU). Klingsheim recorded the Huskers second shutout of the dual at 125-pounds when he defeated Jake Corrill (UNC), 6-0. At 133-pounds, Kiley defeated Pat Owens (UNC) by decision 7-1, while Koehnlein won his third straight dual after taking down Mike Rappo (UNC), 10-3.

The match of the day came at 157-pounds where Tyler Koehn (NU) upset No. 20 Corey Mock (UNC) by fall with :08 remaining in the final period. Trailing 3-0 entering the third period, Koehn earned an escape point to pull within two points and then turned a single-leg takedown attempt into a pin to extend the Huskers lead to 27-3. The pin was Koehn's second of the season.

No. 1 Jordan Burroughs (NU) recorded his 12th technical fall of the season for the Huskers last victory at 165-pounds over Thomas Scotton (UNC), 24-9. Burroughs is now 28-0 on the season and 18-0 in dual competition as he continues his trek to become the school's first two-time national champion.

The Huskers only losses came at 149 and 174-pounds where Nick Stabile (UNC) defeated Ross Grande (NU), 3-2, and Thomas Ferguson (UNC) took down Caleb Kolb (NU), 3-1.

The Huskers return to action for their last regular season dual of the season on Sunday, Feb. 20, when they take on the Iowa State Cyclones at the NU Coliseum. Jordan Burroughs, Andy Johnson and Mike Koehnlein will all be honored before the match as the Huskers celebrate Senior Day. Action is set to begin at 2 p.m., with Senior Day activities beginning ten minutes before the dual.
