Lawrence, Kan. - The Nebraska Men's Golf Team finished in second place at the Kansas Invitational at Alvamar Golf Course on Tuesday. The Huskers shot a final round 298 to finish 11 shots behind Oklahoma City.
Mike Coatman continued his recent success with an even-par 72 in the final round. His three-round total of 215 was good enough for a tie for third individually. Andrew Wyatt matched Coatman's 72 on Tuesday, and also fell into a tie for third.
Scott Willman tied for eighth place overall with his 217 total. Jordan Reinertson tied for 51st at 229, while Brett Nymeyer added a 238. Playing as an individual, Manuel Lavin de la Riva shot an 81 in the final round for a 249 total.
Louisiana-Monroe's Gustaf Kocken won the individual title with a 212 total.
The Huskers return to action on Oct. 2-3 at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate.
