Senior (2010-11)
Brett Nymeyer competed in all 12 tournaments for the Huskers during the 2010-11 campaign, earning a 75.25 stroke average in the process, good for third on the team. Nymeyer recorded five subpar rounds on the season, including a 69 in the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate, which gave him a tie for 13th finish. Nymeyer posted back-to-back top-15 results in the spring season at the Jackrabbit Invitational and the Florida Atlantic Spring Break Championship. His career-best 213 (-3) at the Jackrabbit Invitational gave him a tie for 14th, while an even-par 216 earned a tie for 11th in Florida. Nymeyer used four consistent rounds in his final appearance at the Big 12 Championship to tie for 31st.  

Junior (2009-10)
Although a newcomer to the team, Nymeyer competed in the team lineup in 11 of the Huskers' 12 tournaments. Nymeyer recorded a 75.05 stroke average and earned two top-10 finishes, including a career-best sixth-place finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational, which helped NU capture the team title. Nymeyer finished that event at three-over 219, thanks to a final-round and career-best 67, which included back-to-back eagles. Nymeyer led the Huskers at the Diet Pepsi Shocker Classic by tying for eighth, and he tied for 18th at the Mizzou Intercollegiate to help the Huskers earn another title. At season's end, Nymeyer was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Spring Honor Roll.

Before Nebraska
Nymeyer spent the first two years of his college career at Waldorf College in Forest City, Iowa. Nymeyer won two tournament titles in his two years with the Warriors. In the spring of 2008, Nymeyer tied for third at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championship and was named to the all-tournament team. In 2009, he tied for eighth at the MCC Championship.

Personal
Brett is the son of Berny and Sharon Nymeyer. Brett was born Sept. 27, 1988, and is majoring in finance.
