Huskers Open Season with Dual Win at Creighton

Omaha - The Nebraska men's golf team opened the 2010-11 season on a strong note with a victory over Creighton. In the two-team event at Omaha Country Club, the Huskers shot 284 (E) as a team on Wednesday morning. 

Junior Scott Willman led the way for Nebraska by carding a 1-under par 70. Austin Zimmerman and Mike Coatman added a pair of 71s to the NU total, while Andrew Wyatt shot 72 and Jordan Reinertson scored a 75.

Leading the individuals was Brett Nymeyer, who fired a 71. Sophomore Neil Dufford shot 79, while Brett Sundberg carded an 81 and Manuel Lavin added an 83.

Creighton shot a team total of 303.
