85 Huskers Named to Honor Roll

Head Coach Gary Pepin’s Nebraska track and field team accounted for 85 of the 328 University of Nebraska student-athletes named to the 2010 Big 12 Commission’s Spring Honor Roll. The selections were well balanced between the men’s 44 honorees and women’s 41 honorees.

The track and field team also produced 17 athletes that earned a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring semester, including 10 on the women’s side and seven on the men’s side.

The Husker women who carried a 4.0 GPA during the spring included, Erica Hamik, Suzanne Higgins, Cami Jiskra, Tara Korshoj, Anne Martin, Mary Morales, Jen Pancoast, Katie White, Morgan Wilken and Natalie Willer.

For the men, student-athletes who earned a 4.0 GPA were, Brett Grieb, Scott Jorgenson, Jon Love, Nate Polacek, Skyler Reising (former student-athlete), Matt Shipp and Bryce Somer.
