Lincoln - A total of 20 Nebraska baseball players were honored this week with selections to the 2010 Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.

The group was led by first-team Academic All-American DJ Belfonte, as the senior earned a spot on the honor roll for the eighth time in his career. Belfonte, who graduated in May, was named to the conference honor roll every semester at Nebraska.

Other Huskers who are being honored for at least the fourth time in their careers include Casey Hauptman (sixth), Michael Mariot (fifth), Cory Burleson (fourth), Boomer Collins (fourth), Tyler Farst (fourth) and Nate Kerkhoff (fourth).

In addition, freshman outfielder Pat Hirschberg was one of 42 Husker student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA during the spring semester. Former Huskers Erik Bird, Tyler Rank and Eric Rose were also honored for their contributions, including Nebraska's total of baseball honorees to 23.
