Huskers Stay Ranked at No. 11

Lincoln - Despite losing to Utah 196.575-195.725 last Friday in Salt Lake City, Utah, the Nebraska women's gymnastics team has held onto its 11th-place ranking in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU third in the South Central region and second in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are tied at fifth nationally in team vault scoring (49.235), 17th on bars (48.915), 16th on beam (48.845) and seventh on floor (49.175).

Individually, junior Erin Davis is tied for fifth in the vault rankings (9.92). Sophomore Lora Evenstad comes in tied at eighth on floor (9.90). Senior Kathryn Howard is tied for 20th on beam (9.85), and junior Maria Scaffidi is tied at 22nd on floor (9.875).

The Huskers return home to host Big 12 foe Iowa State in their last regular season home meet on Sunday, March 14 at the Devaney Center. Nebraska will honor seniors Kathryn Howard and Kylie Stone. Competition is set to being at 2 p.m.
