Lincoln - After winning its 17th Masters Classic title last Sunday, the Nebraska women's gymnastics team is ranked 11th in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU third in the South Central region and second in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are seventh nationally in team vault scoring (49.185), 17th on bars (48.88), tied for 12th on beam (48.845) and seventh on floor (49.135).
Individually, junior Erin Davis is tied for seventh in the vault rankings (9.90). Sophomore Lora Evenstad comes in tied at eighth on floor (9.89). Senior Kathryn Howard is tied for 17th on beam (9.85), and junior Maria Scaffidi is tied at 16th on floor (9.875) and is ranked 24th in the all-around (39.05).
The Huskers hit the road to face Utah in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 5 at the Devaney Center. Competition is set to being at 8 p.m.
