Huskers Ranked 11th Nationally

Lincoln - After taking second at the Sweetheart Invite with N.C. State and North Carolina last Saturday, the Nebraska women's gymnastics team moved to11th-place in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by regional qualifying score, also ranks NU third in the South Central region and second in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are eighth nationally in team vault scoring (49.12), 14th on bars (48.815), tied for 15th on beam (48.64) and eighth on floor (49.06).

Individually, junior Erin Davis is fourth in the vault rankings (9.90). Sophomore Lora Evenstad comes in tied at 9th on floor (9.88). Senior Kathryn Howard is tied for 13th on beam (9.835), and junior Maria Scaffidi is tied at 13th on floor (9.87) and is ranked 24th in the all-around (38.92).

The Huskers return home for the Masters Classic with Arizona, Denver and West Virginia on Sunday, Feb. 28 at the Devaney Center. Competition is set to being at 2 p.m.
