Huskers Maintain Ninth-Place National Ranking

Lincoln - After advancing to 4-0 over the weekend and defeating Michigan, the Nebraska women's gymnastics team maintained its ninth-place ranking in the latest GymInfo poll released Monday. The poll, which is calculated by average team score, also ranks NU second in the South Central region and in the Big 12 Conference. In addition, the Huskers are ninth nationally in team vault scoring (49.075), ninth on bars (48.958), 15th on beam (48.558) and seventh on floor (49.05).

Individually, junior Maria Scaffidi is ranked ninth on floor (9.883) and 21st in the all-around (39.067). Junior Erin Davis is tied for fourth on vault (9.90). Sophomore Lora Evenstad comes in tied at 18th on bars (9.842) and 17th on floor (9.867). Senior Kathryn Howard is also tied for 22nd on beam (9.825).

The Huskers host Missouri on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Devaney Center. Competition is set to being at 7:30 p.m.
