After more than one month away from competition, the Nebraska bowling team will travel to Cabot, Ark., for its first tournament of the year. The Mid-Winter Classic is scheduled to begin at 11:15 on Friday, Jan. 15, with five four-game Baker matches. The Huskers will then take to the lanes at 9:40 a.m. on Saturday with five team games, before concluding the tournament on Sunday with five four-game Baker matches starting at 8:30 a.m.
Six Husker bowlers will compete this weekend, including Kaleena Henning, Cassandra Leuthold, Katie Ann Sopp, Valerie Calberry, Shalima Zalsha and Kristi Mickelson.
Nebraska will have three weeks off from competition before resuming their spring season with the Griffin Invitational in St. Louis, Mo., on Feb. 5-7.
