Nesseth goes seven innings, allowing four runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts. Casey Hauptman now pitching for the Big Red.

8:08p.m.
Both pitchers work a perfect sixth inning, as Nebraska holds on to a 7-4 lead after six complete. After dealing with rain most of the day, it has cleared up and become a very nice evening at the ballpark

7:56p.m.
We are through five inning with Nebraska leading 7-4. Baylor pushed across a pair of runs in the fifth, but Nesseth worked out of the jame.

7:36p.m.
NU chases Volz in the fourth with two more runs, getting an RBI double from Bailey and a run-scoring single from Tyler Farst to make it 7-2.

7:13p.m.
Nebraska gets the two runs back in the bottom of the third on Nick Sullivan's two-run double to score Adam Bailey and Tyler Farst. Sullivan's two doubles already matches a careeer high.

6:53 p.m.
The Bears get two of the runs back in the top of the second inning, loading the bases with one out before a passed ball and a ground out pulls Baylor within 3-2.

6:30 p.m.
Nesseth fans a pair in the top of the first before the Huskers strike for three runs in the bottom of the frame, including homers by DJ Belfonte and Adam Bailey. It was the Huskers' first leadoff homer since April of 2003 (Jeff Leise vs. Creighton).
