The Huskers finish up their four-game road trip this evening, as they take on the Wichita State Shockers at Eck Stadium. First pitch is set for 7:07 p.m. and the game will be carried on the IMG Husker Sports Network.

The Huskers will need a comeback, as Clinton McKeever's two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the eighth gave Wichita State a 9-7 lead heading to the bottom of the ninth. The inning was sprurred by a a questionable call from home plate umpire Terry Harrison, which kept the inning alive and allowed the shockers to rally.

Nebraska goes scoreless in the eighth, as we are tied at seven heading into the bottom of the eighth

Mariot wiggles his way out of a two-on, one-out jam and the Huskers and Shockers are tied at seven after seven complete frames. Sullivan leads off the eighth for the Huskers, and he got NU's last rally started.

It is stretch time in Wichita and we remianed tied at seven. Tyler Farst extended his hit streak to 10 games has hit safely in 21 of his last 22 contests with his two-out single.

Nebraska got some momentum in the sixth, turning a 7-5-6 DP to get out of a difficult situation. We remain tied at 7-all after six innings

Nebraska gets an unearned run, but Wichita State gets a break, as an errant throw sails into into the Shocker bullpen and forces Cody Neer to stay at third. That proves costly as Jordan Cooper escaps the inning without further damage. We are tied at 7-all in the fifth

Wichita State regains the lead on an RBI single by Clinton McKeever and leads 7-6 after five innings

Nebraska returns the favor with three runs in the top of the second, including mammoth homers by Jed Hanson and Jake Mort to tie the score at five apiece after two frames. Both homers were impressive shots into the gusting wind going to right field.

Nebraska's lead didn't last long as Joe Broekemeier struggled with control, walking two and hitting another before Chris O'Brien cleared the bases with a three-run double. NU trails 5-2 after one inning.
