It is blustery Saturday morning, but the Huskers are still on for their doubleheader against Cal State Northridge this afteroon at Hawks Field. First pitch for the opener is set for 1:05 p.m. with the nightcap to follow 30 minutes later

The Huskers go down in order in the eighth and lead 12-6 heading to the top of the ninth with Kalkowski on the mound for his second inning of work.

Nebraska gets another run int he seventh and now leads 12-6. Kalkowski now in for the Huskers in the eighth

The Huskers erupt for eight runs in the bottom for fourth, taking the lead on a three-run homer by Tyler Farst, his first of the year. Nebraska leads 9-5 after four innings. Adam Bailey added a two-run single in the inning and has three RBIs on the evening.

Cal State Northridge leads 5-1 in the fourth, as Nick Sullivan tied an NCAA record with three putouts in the top of the fourth.

The Huskers go down in order in the bottom of the third against reliever Billy Ott, who came in to open the third inning.

Bird gets some great defense behind him, as the Huskers' second double play of the game gets the Husker right-hander out of trouble in the third inning.

The Huskers can't capitalize, loading the bases but can't pull closer and trail 4-1 heading into the top of the third.

The Huskers turn a nifty 4-6-3 double play get out of the second inning without any damage. Nebraska now hitting in the bottom of the fourth down 4-1.

Cal State Northridge strikes for four runs in the top of the first off of Nebraska starter Erik Bird. The Huskers get one of the runs back on Adam Bailey's sixth round tripper of the season.
