Nebraska-Iowa State Volleyball Time Change Announced

Lincoln ?Nebraska athletic department officials announced Tuesday afternoon that the Nebraska-Iowa State volleyball match on Saturday, Nov. 1, has been moved from 7 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The volleyball match time was changed following the announcement that the Nebraska-Oklahoma football game on that date will begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised nationally by either ABC or ESPN.

“We know how important that the Nebraska-Oklahoma football rivalry is for Husker fans, and we appreciate the cooperation we received from Iowa State coach Christy Johnson and the ISU administration on this time change,” Nebraska Coach John Cook said. “This allows fans an opportunity to watch our match with Iowa State as well as the football game that evening.”

Fans who can’t attend the sold-out match at the Nebraska Coliseum will be able to listen to the match on selected IMG Husker Sports Network stations, including B107.3 FM in Lincoln and Twister 93.3 FM in Omaha, and on the Internet at Huskers.com. In addition, the match will also be televised state-wide on NET Television (Ch. 12 and Ch. 112 in HD).

The new time is different that on other printed publications, including tickets and schedule posters. The change was made to accommodate fans who wanted to see both the volleyball match in person and watch the first football matchup between the Huskers and Sooners since 2005.
