Lincoln ? The Nebraska rifle team placed seven current or former shooters among 270 Husker student-athletes honored as members of the Big 12 Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll, the conference office announced Thursday. The honor roll recognizes student-athletes with a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the previous semester, and within Nebraska’s 270 selections, 36 earned perfect 4.0 GPAs.
Seniors Katie Harrington and Kirsten Weiss and freshman Ryann McGough led the impressive contingent of Husker shooters, as the three athletes each earned a 4.0 GPA for the second time this year. Harrington, Weiss and fellow senior Kim Chrowstowski made their eighth straight appearances on the list, while former Husker Kristina Fehlings earned a spot on the honor roll for the seventh time.
Sophomore Amanda Jeffries was included for the fourth time in her career, while sophomore Christine Costello earned her third honor.
