2006-07 (Senior)
Kristina Fehlings ended her senior year as one of the most decorated rifle athletes in Nebraska history.  She was a mainstay on the rifle line-up in each of her four years.  During her junior season, Fehlings led the Huskers to a program-best second-place finish at the 2006 NCAA Championships as she claimed the NCAA individual air rifle title. 

In her senior season, Fehlings held an average of 576 in smallbore and 585.76 in air rifle.  She also shot a season-best air rifle score of 593 against Alaska-Fairbanks, earning the top spot on Nebraska's air rifle senior records. 

Kristina earned several individual post-season honors in her final season, including second-team All-GARC honors in smallbore and second-team NRA All-Collegiate honors in smallbore and air rifle.  She also earned Big 12 Commissioner's honor roll honors for the fourth time in her career.

2005-06 (Junior)
Fehlings continued to shine over the course of her junior season, marking a score of 592 in air rifle to win the NCAA championship. She became just the second shooter in Nebraska rifle history to win an individual event championship, joining Nicole Allaire who won the smallbore crown in 2000. Fehlings also finished fifth in smallbore at nationals with a score of 585.

Fehlings’ performance in the postseason earned her first-team GARC honors in both disciplines, while landing first-team smallbore and second-team air rifle NRA All-America accolades.

During the regular season, Fehlings notched four match-high scores including two in smallbore and two in air rifle.

2004-05 (Sophomore)
Fehlings was looked to as a key contributor in the 2004-05 campaign and lived up to expectations, earning GARC Shooter-of-the-Year honors and becoming the lone Husker to receive first-team all-conference honors in both smallbore and air rifle.

At the NCAA Championships, Fehlings added distinctions as a first-team air rifle and second-team smallbore NRA All-American as well as first-team smallbore and second-team air rifle CRCA All-Collegiate honors.

During the regular season, Fehlings shot a team-best 593 in smallbore against UMKC on Dec. 4, helping her to a first-place ranking on the team in smallbore average (584.5) for the season. She also shot a season-high 593 in air rifle against Alaska-Fairbanks on Feb. 13 at the NCAA qualifier for an event average of 589.23, placing her second overall on the team behind Andrea Franz?n.

2003-04 (Freshman)
Fehlings quickly made her presence felt in the Husker program as a freshman. A regular in both smallbore and air rifle, she led the team in air rifle average (389.23), a total that ranked third on NU’s single-season list.

Fehlings established herself as a leader in both events, earning first-team NRA All-America honors in air rifle and third-team honors in smallbore. Fehlings finished 20th as an individual in air rifle at the NCAA Championships.

As a Junior Competitor
Fehlings enjoyed great success at the national level during her junior career. As a member of the USA Rifle National Development Team, Fehlings took first at a pair of major national tournaments in 2003. She won the three-position smallbore event at the 2003 Junior Olympic National Championship in Colorado Springs, Colo., and was also the National Rifle Association air rifle champion. In addition, she led her club team to a title at the NRA Open National Championship at Camp Perry, Ohio. Fehlings, who also placed eighth in the air rifle at the 2003 Junior Olympic Championships, is a two-time national qualifier who placed second in the prone position event at the 2002 J.O. Nationals. Fehlings competed for Coach Bob Hardy at James W. Robinson High School, where she was the Potomac High School League champion as a senior. She was a four-year letterwinner and was team captain in each of her final three seasons. Fehlings selected Nebraska over the U.S. Military Academy.

Personal
The daughter of Carol and Allan Fehlings, Kristina was born on Dec. 28, 1984, in West Point, N.Y. A finance major at Nebraska, Kristina graduated from James W. Robinson High School in 2003, where she earned three academic letters and was in the National Honor Society.
