Huskers Close Fall Season at Capital City Collegiate Classic

The No. 2 Nebraska bowling team will conclude its 2007 fall season at the Capital City Collegiate Classic in Jackson, Miss., on Dec. 1-2.

 

Seven Huskers will make the trip to Jackson, including senior Lindsay Baker, junior Kaleena Henning, sophomore Cassandra Leuthold and freshmen Christine Bator, Breanna Stewart, Katie Ann Sopp and Esther Cheah.

 

Although the complete competitive field has not been set, Nebraska is sure to face No. 1 Vanderbilt in the tournament.

 

Nebraska will take nearly a two-month break before beginning its winter season on Jan. 18 at the Ozark Invitational.

 

The Huskers dominated their last competition at the Maverick Challenge in Oak Forest, Ill., on Nov. 17.  Five Huskers placed in the top-10, including Laugerman (2nd), Leuthold (3rd), Bator (4th), Baker (6th) and Sopp (7th).
