Huskers Open Spring with Win Over Tigers

Orlando, Fla. - The Nebraska women's golf team opened its spring season with a one shot victory over Missouri in a single-round dual at the Orange County National Golf Club on Saturday.

The Huskers managed a 313 in their first round of the season, while the Tigers put up a 314 over 18 holes.

Senior Chrissie McArdle led the Huskers with a three-over-par 75, while freshman JC Stevenson carded a 76. Junior Allison Stewart managed an 80, while freshman Kate White contributed an 82 to Nebraska's team score. Junior Elli Brown rounded out the five players in the NU lineup with an 84, while senior Andrea (Dunagan) Carlson notched an 81 while playing unattached.

The Huskers head to Parrish, Fla., for a practice round on Sunday, before opening the 15-team Central District Invitational on Monday morning. Nebraska will play 36 holes on Monday, before closing the three-round tournament with the final 18 holes on Tuesday morning. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.com.
