11 Golfers Earn Spots on Big 12 Honor Roll

Lincoln - Eleven members of the Nebraska women’s golf team earned recognition from the conference for their academic accomplishments by being named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll.

Junior Jackie Beste, who produced a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the spring semester, led the impressive contingent of women’s golfers on the honor roll. Seniors Beth Anne Bryson, Stephanie Ruiz and former Husker Stephanie Schaefer joined Beste on the honor roll, along with juniors Chelsea Gehring and Sara Sackett. Sophomores Andrea Dunagan and Chrissie McArdle also earned spots on the honor roll, along with freshmen Elli Brown, Megan Place and Allison Stewart.

The Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll recognizes student-athletes who earned a 3.0 GPA or higher during the previous semester. Overall, Nebraska had 274 student-athletes named to the spring honor roll, including 37 who produced perfect 4.0 grade-point averages during the spring semester.
