Five Huskers Earn Postseason Honors

Lincoln ? The accolades continue to accumulate for the Nebraska rifle team, as five members of earned postseason honors.

Sophomore Kristina Fehlings was named a first-team NRA All-American in air rifle for the second consecutive year, while also earning second-team honors in smallbore. Fehlings was also named to the CRCA All-Collegiate first team in smallbore and the second team in air rifle. Fehlings finished third as an individual in smallbore at the NCAA Championships earlier this month, while taking eighth in air rifle.

Freshman Andrea Franzen was named to the CRCA All-Collegiate first team in air rifle, following her second-place finish in the event at the NCAA meet. Franzen was not eligible for the NRA All-America team as she did not join the team until January.

Junior Misty Chanek earned second-team NRA All-America honors in both events for the second consecutive year, while freshman Kim Chrostowski earned third-team NRA All-America honors in air rifle. Chanek was also named to the CRCA All-Collegiate honorable-mention air rifle team following her 10th-place finish in the event at the NCAA Championships.

As a team, the Huskers finished in third place at the NCAA Championships earlier this month after winning the Great America Rifle Conference Championship in February.
