Nine Huskers Make Big 12 Honor Roll

Nine current Nebraska softball players and three former players were named to the Fall 2003 Big 12 Commissioners Honor Roll. To be eligible, each player had a grade-point average of 3.0 or better.

Sophomore KoKo Tacha made the list with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

Joining Tacha were seniors Peaches James and Liz Lawhorn, juniors Kira Boerkircher, Sheena Lawrick and Anne Steffan, sophomores Trisha Tannahill and Jessica Yoachim and freshman Jaime Borg.

Former Huskers Amanda Buchholz, Amber Brgess and Kim Ogee also made the list.

No. 8 Nebraska makes its season debut on Friday against defending national champion and No. 1 UCLA at 3:30 p.m. (CST) at the UNLV Classic in Las Vegas, Nev. NU plays again on Friday at 6 p.m. against No. 12 DePaul.
