Husker Duo Advances to Second Round of Central Regionals

Jen Baccarani, Leslie Harvey, Rose Ketmayura and Anna Oehme advanced to the second round of the Central Regional doubles tournament at the University of Tulsa on Friday

 

Baccarani and Harvey defeated Marlena Maciolek and Isabelle Soucy of Oral Roberts, 8-3 to advance to the second round take on Aleksandra Durska and Alicia Pillay of Tulsa.  Ketmayura and Oehme defeated Andrea Cooper and Petra Sedlmajerova of Kansas State, 8-4 to advance on to take on Mia Kovacek and Tjasa Suvak of New Mexico.

 

Katie Garcia and Rebecca Harvey dropped their opening round match against Sania Hansson and Dasha Zhurian of Colorado State, 8-3. Pamela Castillejos and Jennifer Cremeiux suffered a first round lost to Gorana Marsic of Oklahoma State, 8-4.

 

Action continues tomorrow with matches slated to begin at 9 a.m.
