In the second day of the Drake Relays junior Krisztina Kovesi placed first in the triple jump. With a mark of 41-10 Kovesi won the event by jumping 3 inches farther than her second place competitor. Several Huskers will be competing in Saturday's events including freshman Becky Breisch, sophomore Carl Myerscough and sophomore Na'Tassia Vice.
Elsewhere in the nation senior Derek Zachary qualified in the 110-meter hurdles preliminaries at the Penn State Relays and will be competing in the finals Saturday afternoon. Other Huskers to compete on Saturday are sophomore Frank Tolen and senior Daniel Johnson.
