Jayhawks End Huskers Eight-Match Win Streak

Lawrence, Kan. -- The University of Kansas women's tennis team snapped Nebraska's eight-match winning streak, defeating the Cornhuskers, 7-2, at Robinson Courts. The Jayhawks, currently ranked #32, improved to 6-9 overall and 3-1 in the Central Region and Big 12 Conference, while NU drops to 14-4 overall and 2-3 in the BIg 12 .

The Huskers' Sandra Noetzel pulled the biggest win of the season, defeating KU's Kris Sell, ranked #22 nationally, in the sets, winning the third set 6-2. It is the third top-100 player Noetzel has defeater this this spring.

KU won five of the six singles (#2-6) matches and two of three doubles matches (#1 and #2) in its second home victory of the season.

The Huskers return to action Sunday, April 4, when the Huskers travel to Manhattan, Kan., for a match with the Wildcats.
