Huskers Drop Tough Match to No. 41 Baylor

Lincoln--Nebraska junior Sandra Noetzel became the all-time winningest singles player in NU history today. Noetzel entered the day tied with former Husker Iidiko Guba at 75 wins before breaking the tie with a 6-0,6-0 victory at No. 1 singles over No. 57 Katja Kovac.

The win was Noetzel's 14th straight singles victory. Despite Noetzel's sucess, the Huskers were unable to pull out the team vicory, losing to Baylor 7-2 at the Woods Tennis Center. NU's only other point came at No. 6 singles where freshman Amy Frisch defeated Claudia Aguilar, 6-3, 3-6, 6-2.

Nebraska will return to action on Sunday when they take on No. 36 Colorado at 10 a.m. The match is scheduled to be played at the Cather-Pound Tennis Courts if weather permits.
