2003: Outlook
After spending a year on the sideline, Kelsey Fautsch (pronounced FOUCH) is ready to contribute on the court. Fautsch will battle junior Ally Rebholz for playing time on the right side, Nebraska Coach John Cook said.

Cook said the left-handed Fautsch has the ability to become an "exceptional blocker and attacker." Fautsch is easily one of the best athletes on the team, Cook said, and may find some way onto the court, even if its not on the right side. Fautsch spent much of the off-season perfecting her jump serve and could fill in as a serving specialist in some situations.

An excellent student, Fautsch owns a 3.782 cumulative grade-point average.

2002: Redshirt
Fautsch sat out the 2002 season to train on the right side.

A Volleyball Magazine Fab 50 pick, Fautsch was the first nationally ranked recruit of the 2002 class, giving an oral commitment to the Huskers in May of 2001. The left-handed Fautsch was a four-year starter under Coach Brenda Schulte for Chisago Lakes High School, where she set single-season school records for kills (369) in 2001 and solo blocks (156) in 2000.
