Purpose: Established in 2014 and recognized as one of the top student leadership organizations on campus, Inner Circle consists of 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th year student-athlete emerging leaders who are committed to building meaningful connections with peers, letterwinner alumni, and community leaders.  Members attend monthly meetings centered around building leadership skills, serving the community, and improving their individual professional development.

Participants: Nominations for group membership are requested from coaches and other athletic department staff members. All interested student-athletes must apply for consideration. Members must be committed to attending ALL meetings and will only be excused due to an athletic competition conflict.  Absences due to anything other than athletic competition must be communicated prior to the absence and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Failure to comply with these expectations may result in the removal of the individual from Inner Circle.

Meetings: Meeting dates and topics for the 2023-2024 academic calendar year include:

  • August 28th - Speed Networking
  • September 18th - Essential Improv for Student Leaders
  • October 23rd - Leadership and Mentorship

  • February 26th - Job Search/Resumes/Cover Letters
  • March 25th - Winning the Interview
  • April 7th - Link-N-Leaders (outreach event)
