Husker Power - Strength and Conditioning

The University of Nebraska Strength and Conditioning department is seeking qualified candidates to fill internship positions for the summer, fall, and spring semesters.  Ideal candidates will possess a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a strong desire to become a Strength & Conditioning Professional. Candidates possessing or working toward CSCS & First Aid/CPR/AED certifications are preferred.

Summer 2024 Internship
Dates: June 3 - August 9, 2024

Responsibilities

  • Assist strength and conditioning coaches coordinate and administer training sessions
  • Assist strength and conditioning coaches with set-up and tear-down of equipment
  • Assist in daily operations of our two Olympic weight rooms which includes, but not limited to: equipment maintenance, cleaning duties, weight room organization
  • Participate and complete the Husker Power Internship Curriculum (10 weeks for Summer, 17 weeks for Fall and Spring)

 
Qualifications

  • Candidates must be working toward or possess an undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Candidates must be working toward or possess a certification through the NSCA, CSCCa, USAW, or another accredited sports performance certification.
  • Candidates must possess a desire to be a strength and conditioning professional.
  • Candidates need to be professional, willing to take initiative, and demonstrate enthusiasm throughout the internship.

 
These are unpaid positions. College credit hours will be accepted if applicable to your current institution. Individuals chose are subject to University background checks and will be held in compliance with all NCAA Division I and Big Ten Conference rules and regulations.
