Big 12 Championships
2001-Miron opened the Big 12 Championships on the wrong foot with a disappointing 12-1 loss to Missouri's Scott Barker. In the consolation semifinal match, Miron showed more fire and competitiveness against Iowa State's Mark Knauer, but it wasn't enough as Knauer prevailed, 7-6.

2003-Miron did not appear in a match for Nebraska during the 2002-03 season.

2002-Miron suffered a torn left anterior cruciate ligament on Feb. 16 against Iowa State. Miron finished with an 8-14 overall record. He posted his first career victory over a ranked opponent by defeating 15th-ranked Eric Webb of Oregon, 6-5. Miron had one of the fastest pins of the season against Columbia's Bart Seeman, 49 seconds into the first period at the Las Vegas Invitational. Against Iowa State, Miron nearly pulled an upset over 11th-ranked Mark Knauer. Miron built a 9-1 lead before Knauer scored 10 unanswered points for the victory. Miron went 1-6 against ranked opponents during the season.

2001-Miron compiled a 14-20 record as NU's starting heavyweight. Miron struggled after a summer surgery to repair his right anterior cruciate ligament. Although he was 0-11 against ranked opponents, he showed flashes of breaking through. In the fifth-place match of the Northern Iowa Open on Dec. 2, Miron gave 10th-ranked Paul Hynek all he could handle before falling, 3-2. Miron's longest win streak of the season was five, which included the heavyweight title at the Roger Denker Open hosted by Central Missouri on Jan. 13.

2000-As a true freshman, Miron was off to a tremendous start as NU's starter at heavyweight, but on Jan. 2, that all came to an end. Miron tore his right ACL in a match at the Great Plains Open, ending his season with a 14-9 mark. Miron played a key role in Nebraska's early success at open tournaments, finishing second at the Cornell Classic, fourth at the Sheridan Tournament and fifth at the Reno Challenge. His most impressive win of the year came against Missouri's Chad Hertzog on Dec. 12 in South Sioux City, Neb. With eight seconds remaining in the third period, the match was tied at 12, but Miron tallied an escape and a takedown to seal the victory.

Before Nebraska-During his junior year at Saint Croix Falls High School, Miron compiled a 35-2 record on his way to becoming the state runner-up for Head Coach Jim Richie. Miron went undefeated in the prep ranks during his senior year, going 38-0 and winning the state championship at heavyweight. The summer after his senior year, Miron finished second at Junior Nationals.

Personal-The son of Cathy Miron, the late Paul Miron and Gerry Kieckhoefer, Pat has three sisters, Katie, Lynsey and Audrey, and two brothers, Jake and William. Pat was born Oct. 15, 1980. He is an exercise science major.
