Jennifer Cremieux Season 2004-05

2005-06: Senior     

Jennifer Cremieux saw limited action in her senior season, but she gave the Huskers a huge boost when she was in the lineup. Cremieux played for the first time in over a year in the Lloyd Stokstad Tournament at Drake to start the fall season.  She rolled through the singles flight winning four straight before defeating teammate Ellinor Zunger in the finals.  In doubles play, she teamed with sophomore Ellinor Zugner to post a 3-1 record. That one loss she took in doubles would end up being her only one of the season.

Cremieux finished with a perfect 6-0 record in singles, going 4-0 in the fall and winning both of her games at the No. 6 slot in the spring.

 

On the doubles court, she followed up her 3-1 fall record with an even more impressive 4-0 mark, all coming at the No. 3 position.

 

Along with capping her career with a combined 13-1 record in her senior season, Cremieux earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors for the second time.

 

2004-05: Junior

Cremieux did not play in the 2004-05 season.

 

2003-04: Sophomore

Cremieux did not see much playing time on the singles court, but made the most of her opportunities.  In four total matches at the No. 5 and No. 6 slots, she turned in a 3-1 record.

 

On the doubles court, Cremieux mirrored her play in singles by posting a 3-1 record with Katie Garcia and Pamela Castillejos.

 

Cremieux also performed well in the classroom where she earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors.  It was the first time Cremieux was named to the academic All-Big 12 team.

 

2002-03: Freshman

Cremieux joined Pamela Castillejos as the two Nebraska incoming freshmen for the 2002-03 season.  Cremieux saw the majority of her playing time during her freshman year.  She contributed primarily in the doubles lineup and went 8-11 playing mostly at the No. 3 spot.  She finished the season with a 7-3 record against non-conference teams.  Cremieux recorded a three-match win streak from March 3 through March 15.

 

Cremieux saw singles action in three matches and went 1-2. She recorded her lone win of the season against Gwen Moser of Wyoming, 6-1, 6-0.

 

During the fall, Cremieux won the consolation doubles final by teaming with Castillejos at the 2002 Shocker Invite. Cremieux compiled a 4-3 singles record, along with a 3-3 doubles mark.

 

Before Nebraska        

A two-sport star, Cremieux was a four-year letterwinner for head coach Dave Ochotta at Pine Ridge High School. Cremieux was the Ontario doubles championships runner-up for 16 through 18 year olds.  She also received Pine Ridge's sportsmanship award and was named team captain.  She was a two-year letterwinner in volleyball and was a member of Pine Ridge's  provincial championship squad.  Cremieux was an honor roll student during every semester in high school.  

 

Personal         
Born Jan. 10, 1984, in Scarborough, Ontario, Jennifer is the daughter of Robert and Miriam Cremieux. Jennifer has one sister Geraldine, 26, and is majoring in psychology.  She spent last summer in Salamanca, Spain, in the university's study abroad program.
