2023 (Junior)
Abbey Schwarz started 23 games in 2023, amassing 1,503 minutes. She was tied for third on the team with four goals and added nine assists, good for second on the team. She sat in fourth place with 31 points and recorded two game-winners on the season. Schwarz took 31 shots, 15 of which were on goal, as she helped NU to its program-best third-trip to the Elite Eight and a Big Ten regular season title. 

2022 (Sophomore)
Schwarz played in all 20 games, starting 15 of them and amassing 1,206 minutes. Schwarz’s three goals on the season tied for third, and she added three assists. She recorded one goal and two assists in the Huskers’ upset of Ohio State in the quarterfinal round of the Big Ten tournament. The Nebraska native also tallied 27 shots and 13 shots on goal.

2021 (Freshman)
Schwarz played in 16 games and earned 10 starts in 2021. Schwarz scored three goals and added a team-high eight assists in 723 minutes of action. She took 14 shots, nine of which were on goal. She was one of three freshmen to start the season opener against Western Illinois and proved her impact early with the game-winning assist in the 12th minute. Schwarz first career goal came against Michigan State on Oct. 30. She scored in the 67th minute against the Spartans. Her second goal of the season occurred in the 27th minute of the Husker’s match against Michigan on Oct. 10, and Schwarz closed out the 2021 season with the game-winner against Minnesota on Oct. 24 in the 26th minute.

High School
Schwarz will join the Huskers from Omaha Roncalli Catholic High School where she was a prolific offensive player. Schwarz contributed right away to Pat Stoffel's program as a freshman in 2018 when she scored 29 goals and chipped in 11 assists in just 16 games to help the Crimson Pride to a district title and an appearance at the Class B state tournament. Over 12 games as a sophomore in 2019, Schwarz totaled 30 goals and 11 assists, earning second-team all-state honors for the second straight season. Schwarz's junior season was canceled due to COVID-19.

Other Information
Schwarz also competed for Evolution 402 under the direction of Brandon Palmer. During the 2020 club season, Schwarz notched 36 goals. Schwarz also contributed to Roncalli's basketball team, as she was named first-team All-River Cities in 2019. For her work in the classroom, she was named Exchange Club of Omaha Outstanding Sophomore in 2019. She has been named to the President's List five times, earned the Pride for Life Award in 2019 and is a two-time citizenship award winner.

Personal Information
Abbey is the daughter of Ryan and Laura Schwarz, and was born on Aug. 2, 2002. Abbey has two brothers, Austin and Vinny. Abbey is majoring in interior design and architecture, earning three spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll.
