2013 • Senior Season
Janelle Giblin served as an important anchor for the Huskers in her senior season, taking the floor as a three-event specialist and one of NU’s top performers on bars. Giblin captured seven total event titles in 2013, including four on bars, two on vault and one on beam.
A 2013 first-team All-Big Ten selection, Giblin secured her spot as one of the program’s finest competitors to date, particularly on bars and vault. In her final season at Nebraska, she earned Big Ten Event Specialist of the Week three times for her performances on bars (Feb. 4, Feb. 11, March 11). She also captured NACGC/W second-team All-America honors on vault for her regular season performances.
At Nebraska’s Senior Night meet against Iowa on March 4, Giblin posted a perfect 10.0 on bars to become the first Husker to earn a 10.0 on any event since 2011. Her 10.0 was only the second on bars in program history, following Bree Dority O’Callaghan’s 10.0 at the 2001 Big 12 Championships.
Giblin’s knack for hitting big routines in clutch situations was key for NU in her final season. Performing in the leadoff spot for Nebraska on vault at the 2013 Big Ten Championships, Giblin hit a 9.95 to tie for top honors on the event. Her efforts paved the way for the Huskers to earn a program-record 49.725 on the event and capture a conference crown for the third straight season. Giblin also earned All-Big Ten Championship team awards on the event for her performance.
2012 • Junior Season
Giblin was one of Nebraska's top competitors in 2012, earning first-team All-America honors on vault and second-team accolades on bars. Giblin was ranked in the top five nationally for much of the season on both apparatuses and finished in sixth place at the NCAA Individual Event Finals on vault, averaging a 9.7625 between two vaults.
Giblin collected a total of 15 individual event titles during her junior season, second only to teammate Jessie DeZiel's 23. She earned nine titles on bars while adding five on vault and one in all-around competition. Particularly noteworthy was Giblin's performance against Iowa State during the regular season, in which the junior tied or set new career highs on vault (9.950), bars (9.950) and floor (9.875) en route to an all-around title with a new career-best score of 39.525.
Giblin was a force in the Big Ten throughout the season as well, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors prior to the conference championship. Giblin was awarded a spot on the All-Big Ten Championship team on vault and picked up Academic All-Big Ten honors as well.

Giblin also tied for fifth on vault (9.80) at the event finals.
