Lilia Cosman

Before Nebraska
Lilia Cosman spent one season at Michigan State before coming to Nebraska. She competed in every bars lineup for the Spartans, along with 10 beam lineups and five floor lineups. Cosman finished third at the 2026 Big Ten Championships on beam, scoring a career-high-tying 9.900. She earned two event titles on the season, both on beam.

Cosman trained at Capital City Flips in Lansing, Michigan, under Kristin Buese. She is also a member of the Romanian National Team from 2022 on, trained by Florin Cotutiu. Cosman represented Romania at the 2024 Paris Olympics, competing in the all-around qualifications to advance the team to the team final, where they finished seventh. She is the 2022 Michigan State Championships all-around champion.

Personal
Lilia is the daughter of Emilian and Angelica Cosman and has one sister, Amanda. She was born on Aug. 6, 2007. Lilia is a business law major at Nebraska.

Lilia on Nebraska: "The coaches played a big role. They are amazing people inside and out of the gym, and I saw better growing opportunities as a person and gymnast. The school was beautiful, and you can tell they care about their athletes as people, not only as performers."
