2017 (Redshirt)
Laura Oh redshirted in 2017. She worked hard to add depth on multiple events, but did not see action in a meet.
She got off to a strong start outside the gym, as she was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2017 for her work in the community. She also earned a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2017.
Before Nebraska
Oh trained at Midwest Gymnastics Center in Little Canada, Minn., under coach Jess Graba. A 2016 J.O. National qualifier, Oh finished in the top 10 on three events and in the all-around at the 2016 Minnesota State Meet. She finished sixth on floor at the 2015 Region 4 Championships and ninth on floor at the 2015 Minnesota State Meet. Oh also took ninth on beam at the 2014 Minnesota State Meet. She chose Nebraska over Minnesota, Iowa, Central Michigan, Penn, Air Force and Illinois.
Personal
The daughter of Steve and Eunah Oh, Laura was born on June 10, 1998. She has two brothers, Ryan and Sean. Oh is a 2016 graduate of Mounds View High School. She has not yet declared a major, but she did earn a spot on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in the spring of 2017. Oh was named to the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team in 2017.
