Before Nebraska
One of two Canadian newcomers in the Husker class, Isabella Kowan comes to Nebraska after spending four seasons at Arizona State. Kowan posted a career-high beam score of 9.875 against Utah as a junior in 2025 to claim an event title against the Utes.
She posted a pair of 9.850 scores on beam as a senior, while matching a career best with a 9.775 on bars at the NCAA Tempe Regional Second Round in 2026. Kowan is a four-time WCGA Scholastic All-American and a two-time Academic All-Big 12 choice.
Before college, Kowan was an Eastern Canadian All-Around Champion and a two-time Ontario All-Around Champion. She graduated from St. Mary Catholic Secondary in 2022.
Personal
Isabella is the daughter of Brett and Anna Kowan, and has one younger brother, Lucas. She was born on Feb. 18, 2004, and she is a psychology (neuroscience) major at Nebraska.
