Honors and Awards:
- First-Team Academic All-Big 12 (1997,1998)
Alisha Lamb was a Husker letterwinner in 1998. In the classroom, Lamb earned Academic All-Big 12 honors (1997, 1998) during her Nebraska career.
As a senior: Alisha did not train gymnastics her senior season, but instead served as the team manager for the Huskers.
As a Junior: Lamb did not see any action in her junior season, battling shin splints for much of the year.
As a sophomore: Alisha provided valuable depth for NU on the floor exercise, competing in two meets and earning her first letter. She scored a career high of 9.55 at the Maui Invitational, leading off the NU floor lineup, and competed in the floor exercise at Denver. Lamb was also a first-team academic All-Big 12 selection with a 3.20 cumulative GPA.
As a freshman: Lamb was not able to break into a talented Husker lineup during her freshman season at Nebraska, but did compete in several floor exercise exhibitions.
Prior: One of three Lincoln natives on the squad, Lamb was joined by her twin sister, Arica, and junior Heather Brink. Alisha was coached by Duane West at Capital City Gymnastics Club and qualified for Junior Olympic Senior Nationals in 1995.
Personal: Lamb is the daughter of Dave and Janelle Lamb and was born on May 9, 1978 in Lincoln. Along with twin sister Arica, she has two younger sisters A.J. (also a gymnast for the Huskers) and Mandy. Alisha majored in communication studies and chose Nebraska over Iowa State.
