2022-23 (Redshirt Sophomore)
Alexis Buchert competed in seven of the nine tournaments with 34.1 games in total. She had a season high average of 202.6 with a 19.28 Avg/Frame. Buchert ended the regular season with an 82.3 percent overall fill percentage in both traditional and baker format. Buchert was the Big Ten Sportsmanship honoree for the bowling team for the second consecutive year.

2021-22 (Redshirt Freshman)
Buchert (pronounced BUE-kurt) made her Husker debut in the Track Kat Klash in her native Texas. She bowled nine frames in NU’s Baker lineup and averaged 22.67 pins per frame.

2020-21 (Freshman)
Buchert was one of three freshmen that redshirted during the 2020-21 season  While she didn’t compete, Buchert added depth to a strong roster for the Huskers. She excelled academically and earned spots on the Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll in both the fall and spring semesters of 2020-21.

Before Nebraska
Buchert competed for Taft High School and Coach Ernest Moya, helping the school make a pair of state tournament appearances (2017 and 2019), while qualifying for the state championships on three occasions (2017-19). As a senior, she averaged a 204 and won district and regional individual titles before the state tournament was canceled because of COVID-19.  Buchert also claimed the title of Texas Pepsi State Bowling Champion in 2015, 2016, and 2017. In 2018, Buchert placed third in the U-20 category at the Storm Youth Championships. She also qualified for the Junior Gold Championships five times, most recently in 2019. In her career, she has bowled a 299 game and posted a high series of 715. She was a four-time academic all-district pick while also competing in both cross country and track at Taft High School. 

Personal
The daughter of Charles and LaRonda Buchert, Alexis is majoring in nutrition, exercise and health science. A Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2023, Buchert earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2022 and 2023. She is a five-time Nebraska Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll selection. She is also a three-time member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team.
